Achievements and world records are something that we take pride it, don’t we? However, some achievements and world records are so bizarre and stupid that you feel like what in the world these guys are up to. Well, making world records is a serious business and therefore people are taking every possible step to make sure that their name is listed among the best names who have seriously taken the world records to the next level. Let’s checkout some of the stupidest world records that have been made by some weird people for whom achievement does not mean getting medals and trophies.
1. Most People Being Massaged
Okay, we all like getting massaged but how about if a group of 263 people get massaged by 263 massage therapist at one place and at one time. Yes, sounds really stupid but these massage therapist wanted their name registered in world records for which they selected 263 recipients who would get a 12 minute long massage at Lavandula Lavender Farms in Daylesford, Australia. The entire event was organized by Tourism Victoria and everybody including the recipients enjoyed the massage therapy just for the sake of getting their names in the book of world records. However, there was only one person who might be unlucky that day and he was none other than the judge who was monitoring the event closely.
2. Loudest Burp
Well, mentioning about the loudest burp right after French kiss sounds stupid but it doesn’t really matter to people like Paul Hunn from United Kingdom who went on to register his name into world records for loudest burp in the world. The burp recorded was 107.1 db which he achieved in a show in 2008. Well, Mr. Paul Hunn I am sure that most of the restaurant owners and hoteliers would get paranoid when you enter their restaurants and hotels, don’t they?
3. Longest Ear Hair
Sometimes you have to struggle all your life to get your name along with famous people and sometimes you don’t have to do anything but just let time work for you. The same thing has happened with Anthony Victor from India. He might have been just an ordinary man living his casual life as it comes but his good luck went right through his ears and today he has the longest ear hair in the world record. Anthony Victor has hair sprouting from the center of his outer ears that measures 18.1 centimeters which is around 7.12 inches long. Wow, I would call that a natural noise reduction technology.
4. Most Ferrero Rocher Chocolates Eaten In a Minute
Do you like Ferrero Rocher chocolates? Well, than this one will sound really stupid because Jim Lyngvild from Copenhagen, Denmark got the world records for eating seven Ferrero Rocher chocolates in a minute. He claimed that he can break the record and than Denmark’s TV2 broadcasted the program live where he got the world record by eating seven Ferrero Rocher chocolates within a minute. So, do you think you can break that one easily? Start working on it.
5.Most Cockroaches Eaten in a Minute
Do you feel like puking? Well, if you don’t than you will certainly feel that way after knowing that Ken Edwards of Glossop, Derbyshire, England ate 36 cockroaches in a minute on the sets of The Big Breakfast in London. Ken munched each live cockroach quickly and gulped them down in order to achieve this record. Ken earlier used to work as a rat catcher and is also a part time entertainer who does bizarre tricks to entertain people. However, ruining everybody’s breakfast on national TV channel is no entertainment and I hope someday he understands that.
6. Largest Mobile Phone
We all are aware that technology is rapidly advancing and with that our gadgets are shrinking day by day but Samsung and Cricket Communications did exactly the opposite by making the world’s largest mobile phone which actually functions the same way as our mobile phones do. The mobile phone model name is Samsung SCH-r450 and measures 4.57 x 3.42 x .74 meters. Now that is really stupid to waste all the money for a functioning phone that is bigger than a human being.
7. Rolling Orange With Nose
Some people are really crazy about getting their name registered in world records and Ashrita Furman is just the same type. He holds a Guinness world record for rolling orange with a nose on Terminal 4 of JFK Airport which is almost a mile long. He completed the record within 29 minutes and broke the earlier record with a time gap of over 3 minutes.
8. Wearing Most T-Shirts
Now this one sounds really easy and stupid as well but wearing T-shirts is no big deal but still there are people who know how to get fame when they want it badly. Luke Baker from United Kingdom holds the record for wearing 20 T-shirts in a minute which is currently the world record that was set in a Maxx store in UK.
9. Most Tattooed Person
We all design a tattoo because it represents our attitude and our personality but what do you think about Lucky Diamond Rich who is now known as the most tattooed person on earth. This guy has spent more than thousand hours having his body tattooed and designed by hundreds of tattoo artists from all around the world. He has also tattooed his eyelids, gums and skin between the toes and inside part of his ears. I am sure he must be the stupidest art lover in the whole world.
10. Tallest Rideable Motorcycle
If you love bikes and are passionate about wheelies than try this one. Gregory Dunham from California, United States has built the world’s tallest bike which is 11 feet tall. The handlebars are around 20 feet from the ground and each tire is 74 inches tall. The motorcycle has a V8 engine but I guess with handlebars so high in the air you will not be able to ride the bike in sitting position because you will always be on your toes, literally.
