10 Worst Bosses Ever !!!

We all use to complain on our bosses – how they are tyrannic, they don’t raise our wage, they humiliate us in front of other colleagues, and so on. You thought you boss is the worst in the world? Just check this list! Here are just ten of the worst, as we couldn’t make a list of hundreds of people.

1. Richard Beckman

Richard Beckman earned the nickname “Mad Dog” for his aggressive selling style, but he also deserved it for his “management skills” which make him one of the worst bosses ever. During a meeting Vogue’s publisher asked two of the female managers present there to kiss each other, but he was so eager to see that, so he shoved the face of Carol Mathews into the face of Emily Davis. To make things worse, he broke Carol’s nose.

2. James Dolan

James Dolan is chairman of Madison Square Garden. We could make a list only of his bossing behavior “hits” – he has fired an employee for serving him flat Coke, didn’t renewed a contract of employee because he criticized New York Knicks, he forbid MSG Network criticize Knicks regardless how they play, and finally, he fired someone because he didn’t recognize him.

3. Alex Campbell

There are a lot of bosses who force their employees to sleep with them, but this guy went too far. Alex Campbell was an owner of a massage parlor who, except engaging sex for himself, threatened his workers to show publicly the videos that he was taking during the sex between his workers with other women. That’s not all. Some of the girls were given horseshoe tattoo with the number 917 on it, “in honor” of his birthday, September 17th.

4. Naomi Campbell

The famous supermodel has a long list of misbehavior with her employees. Here’s some: slapping assistant, threatening that she will throw her assistant off a moving car, punching driver while driving, and a long series of similar anger excesses. However, the worst one was when she hit her assistant with mobile phone. Her employee finished in hospital with four stitches in the head.

5. Julian Proctor

James Gardiner was 60 years old man who had double by-pass surgery. He was recovering well and, when his condition was stable enough, his boss Julian Proctor decided to visit him. However, he wasn’t quite a nice boss as Gardiner maybe thought. Proctor was outrageous enough to fire him because it would take too much time for him to come back to work. Gardiner told him that he would be back in three months, but his boss “couldn’t afford to wait so long.”

6. Henry Frick

Maybe he made Carnegie Steel the largest steel company in the world, but as his name suggests, he was real freak as a boss. Despite his success in industry, his attitude toward workers was awful. When he decided to cut off their wages, he faced with a strike. With negotiations still proceeding, he ordered construction of a solid board fence topped with barbed wire around the property, so the workers couldn’t enter in it. Unfortunately, some of them were armed, so Frick had to hire 300 Pinkerton agents to break up the crowd. In the clash several people were killed and dozens were wounded.

7. William Bryant and Francis May

William Bryant and David May were tyranny bosses in matches industry. They used to employ teenage girls for extremely low salary, abusing the difficult social situation of XIX century. None of the girls could leave the machine to go to bathroom without permission or touch their eyes to get tears off, because “machines were more important.” But that’s not all. When they noticed that other matches companies make better profits, they decided to use cheaper phosphor, which unlike the more expensive type could make some serious health damages. They got their rights, but the cruel industrialists had made great profits already.

8. Abdulaziz bin Nassr al Saud

Abdulaziz bin Nassr al Saud is Saudi prince, who beat his servant to death. Poor servant was videotaped as his boss was kicking him in an elevator, but he didn’t do anything to prevent the situation. His battered body was found in al Saud’s bed three weeks later.

9. John Patterson

John Patterson “worried too much” for his employee’s self-esteem, so, he fired and rehired them just to break their confidence. Also, he banned “harmful” foods, like bread and butter, and measured his workers every six months. It’s unknown why they accepted this torture by the big boss. However, at least one was clever enough not to come back to his company. Thomas Watson was fired and decided to start his own company – IBM.

10. George Pullman

George Pullman is the worst boss ever!!! No doubt. He was XIX century industrialist, getting rich in times when labor rights were only on the rise. This mad man bought a huge parcel of land on which created town that was built for his workers to live in. It had about 12000 citizens who lived according to Pullman’s rules. They even used Pullman’s own currency in the town.  However, when he began to cut off wages and charge higher rents, workers finally started leaving.
