Angelina Jolie has joined forces with Robert Procop, the former chief executive of Asprey, to create a collection of ‘statement stones’.
During the past decade, the actress has worn several pieces created for her by Procop, including a faceted black spinel necklace she wore to the premiere of her film ‘Salt” last summer.
Pieces from the collection will be sold privately through the designer’s network of clients, with all of the proceeds going to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, a charity that aims to help kids who are the victims of war and natural disasters. Each piece will be priced individually.
Pieces include a 353-carat beryl pendant in a rose gold setting and also a 12-carat emerald ring set in rose gold, based on a design Robert and Angelina created for her husband Brad Pitt!
“Angelina has very classic style,” Procop told WWD. “These are pieces she wears herself.”
Angelina and Brad created a gold and silver collection for upmarket jeweller Asprey last year and all profits were donated to the charity.
“These are the children who most need a safe place to learn, a place to heal, a place to learn reconciliation, a place to build a better future and a place – to just be children. Yet the education for these children is often forgotten. Tens of millions of children and adolescents in conflict are not in school,” the actress said speaking about charity.
