If you see Goog.gl links pop up on your Twitter feed, don’t click on them because they could send you to various sites all infected with malware.
The Next Web warns that the worm which uses a goo.gl links ending in either “R7f68” or “od0az” is only a few hours old and could change very quickly.
“What we’ve been able to learn is that the worm seems to be either creating or using a number of spam/newer accounts,” The Next Web reported. “That said, a few influentials have also tweeted the URL.”
The Next Web also reported that the URL redirects to French furniture site Artcan which apparently has been compromised by hackers and used to direct users to the malware laden sites.
The Next Web warns that the attack is also apparently showing up in links that promise an easy way to find out who follows and unfollows you on Twitter, but it also can appear without this comment.
They cautioned Twitter users not to post anything that adverises the service Fllwrs and sugessted users to revoke access to their Twitter site if it turns up.
