New York City Health Department announced the launch of a new GPS application for cel phones called Condom Finder, that can be used on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
So, if you are in New York City and you need a free condom, whip out your iPhone.
The new application allows a user to find a free condom a over 3,000 different locations in all five boroughs using GPS technology or by inputting a users address to find the nearest free condom distributor.
Once the user has locations, the application then gives out directions, hours of operation, what types of safe sex products are available and tips on how to use a condom.
“We want New York City to be the safest city in the world to have sex … A lot of people come here for that, so we want them to practice safer sex,” said Dr. Monica Sweeney, NYC’s assistant health commissioner, according to Reuters.
New Yorkers can download the free app by searching for “NYC Condom Finder” in the iPhone App Store or the Android Market.
The Condom Finder application was released on Monday in celebration of Valentine’s Day.
