Weird Work of Art: Mercedes Covered in 10000 Pens !!!

Costas Schuler, a graphic designer from Forestville, California does no need to sing: ‘Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Pens?’ He made it himself. He completely covered his Mercedes Benz in over 10, 000 pens.

The 1981 300SD Mercedes Benz has pens glued all over, outside and inside; on its roof, dashboard and even the hub caps. He used dry markers, ball points, dry erasers and other writing instrument.

“I hatched an idea to make my own art car and then thought about completely covering it in pens. Everyone uses pens and eventually they get stolen, lost or thrown away. So when I first started collecting them I had no problem asking, and people had no problem donating them for a crazy art project,” said Schuler, according to DailyMail.

The designer has spent over five years covering the car in pens. He has been collecting pens from businesses, doctors’ surgeries, family and friends and now he continues to receive pens from all around the world in support of his project.

”People wave at me when I drive by, honk their horns and light up with a big smile.’ Schuler added: ‘I’ve had pens sent to me from all over the world, including Australia and England.
